Does the military discharge women for a miscarriage during basic training?

My fiancee is in Army basic training/AIT and she has just informed me that she just had a miscarriage. I am 100% certain that the pregnancy was no more than 4 to 4.5 weeks along. My question is... 1. Is it necessary for a D%26amp;C with this early of a miscarriage? and 2. will the Army send her home due to the miscarriage?

Does the military discharge women for a miscarriage during basic training?
I know a girl who got pregnant (unmarried) during AIT. She wasn't discharged and is in fact still in the Army. The was 7 years ago though. I don't know if the rules have changed.

As for a D%26amp;C, I had several miscarrages (as a military spouse) and I never had one. I didn't even know it was an option for me. Friends have told me that the physical pain of a miscarriage didn't last long after the D%26amp;C. I hope this helps.
Reply:So when did you get her pregnant? If she is in basic then they would have given her a pregnancy test at MEPS and found out therefore making her wait to join. If she's in AIT then when did she get pregnant?

It's not making sense. There is no way she's pregnant but if she is she's probably going to get discharged for disorderly conduct during training--they have rules that prevent women from getting into these situations. Therefore if she is pregnant she broke the rules which equals discharge. So, yes, she most likely will come home--for good!
Reply:Is she at Basic Training or AIT???? If she's at basic they would have given her a pregnancy right before she shipped from MEPS or right when she arrived at reception (either or) and should have caught the positive results and not shipped her or sent her home from there - if she's in AIT she will more than likely just be put on a profile until she is healthy again to do PT
Reply:i am not sure if they will discharge her. It is probable in her best intrest to come home though.
