How Much Money And How Long Will A Train Ride Be From Washington D.C to New York City?
Its 3 to 5 Hours. about 225 mi

You have your choice of the 'High Speed' Acela Express (Trains leave almost every hour, on the hour from 5AM to 7 PM), or the regional trains which are slower but less expensive. Prices run from $ 90 to $200 depending on what train, the time of day, and the level of service.

The train will bring you to Mid-Town Manhattan from 3 Blocks from the US Capital Building in the same time it would take you to get from downtown DC to Dulles Airport, through security, on to an airplane, and into the air.
Reply:On average it takes about 3.5 hrs. The cost is usually about $100 - $140 each way. You can watch the train at Union Station in Washington DC and it should take you to Penn Station. Check out Amtrak's website for more info.
Reply:Time wise it is about 3.5 Hrs.

Price range is abvoy $70 - $200 one way.

The Acella may be faster but the cost benefit ratio is not worth it. It normally costs twice as much with little time benefit.

Go with the regional trains and a coach seat for the best value.
Reply:the ride is 2.5 to 5 hours depends if you take the Alcella high spped train or the regular amtrack.

go to amtrack on the net and get the prices they change

also the night owl train has less stops then the day "commuter" ones.
