I work as a receptionist at a medical center. I only work 8 hours a week b/c I am a full time college student. A co-worker, more like supervisor actually approached me about getting familiar with a new scheduling program. She had mentioned last week that she would like to train me for it-- once she finished her training. She said that she would call me last Thursday to arrange a time but she never did. I just remembered that the last time I went into work, she mentioned about coming in early on Monday.. which is tomorrow. But again, she never called me to set this up. What do I do? Should I just go into work tomorrow at my scheduled time?
Didn't hear back from co-worker in regards to training.. What do I do?
You should have asked before you left the last day you worked.as she left you hanging. But, if she made the arrangements, she would have told you. I would go in at your normal time and then follow up. Good Luck.
Reply:call her early in the day as she would get in and see if its still on, and if so, what time she would like you to come in (or stay late). if you are among the first to arrive in the morning then come in 1 hour early. but be prepare to have that time wasted. bring your ipod with a large coffee and doughnut
Reply:I'd come in early on Monday, just in case. It never hurts to be early, anyway.
Reply:If you can leave a message on the work answering machine stating that you thought there was training on Monday morning, but that no one had followed up with you, to please call you and schedule a time that would be convenient for both of you. That way, you don't look like a no show if your supervisor thinks she scheduled you and lets her know you want to do the training and gives her the opportunity to apologize as well!!!!
