Check out webmonkey.com for all of the abbreviations explained on how to built webpages.
Reply:That depends on which language you want to learn. For C or CPP, the ACCU link is great :

Or else you might wanna try these links :

Christians and others: how much Bible training do you have?

Here are some choices:

A. I've never read any Bible.

B. I've read parts of the Bible.

C. I've read the Bible entirely.

D. I've read the Bible several times.

E. I attend Bible studies.

F. I study Bible on my own.

G. I've studied the Bible formally before in school.

H. I've been to a college/university and studied Bible.

I. I've studied the Bible for years formally.

J. I'm clergy, with many years of advanced study.

K. I'm a theologian (published), with many years of advanced study and debate with other theologians.

Christians and others: how much Bible training do you have?
I was a Christian but I quit after intensively studying the Bible on my own. Not that I am not into Jesus, he's cool, it is just that mainstream Christianity and most Christians don't know what the Bible says. That was a bummer.
Reply:D, E, F, G,

I think that covers all that I have done. I attened college at the church where I went and have 2 years of study in the bible. Plus my own studies at home. I was in Bible Study for awhile.
Reply:About 4 years of in-depth study.........and I will debate anyone.

Not saying I have all the answers........just admitting that God has not revealed all of Himself to us as of yet.
Reply:I have to stop at D.

It seems that Bible study groups don't really "study" the Bible, they search for passages that reinforce their established beliefs, and ignore the passages that conflict with them.
Reply:c, d, f, h - it the ultimate book, my code of conduct, a love letter from God, my Dad and Jesus, my precious Saviour, to me.
Reply:Choices! We get choices!

More than a few of the above, but since there's SO MUCH to the Bible, I would say I haven't studied nearly enough. I've only been at it for 32 years or so.

That's the great thing- you can go your whole life, and still it's presenting new insights.
Reply:Um...

C, D, E, F, and G. I've also read many theologians' published works, and debated theology.

But I'm still learning.
Reply:I have studied the Bible, and been to Bible studies. I have written some curriculum on it.
Reply:I.
Reply:C. and D. Not from cover to cover, though I am trying to get it read that way.

E. and I. Every Tuesday and Thursday and Sunday

I feel that I have a good knowledge of the Bible.
Reply:D, E, F - for almost 25 years.
Reply:5 Meets a week and door to door work.

Reply:D.

I've read it several times during my life. I have several non-religious books I've read several times, too, so I don't think that's a good indicator of anything. I read the bible on my own at first because I never understood the people coming to my door quoting scriptures. I decided it would be better to know the text when confronted by these people. Knowledge is a powerful thing.
Reply:It doesen't matter! Its how someone understands God and whats he's about. Someone can have a PHD in God Study with 70 years of study and understand nothing. A child with the Holy Spirit can understand God in an instant.

Ca. C.O.'s Will the cuts that Arnold has for the prison system stop my hubby from being hired?
They ARE really short-handed. The cuts will not stop him from being hired but after last weeks lockdown, everything is on a momentary hold while all resources are being used to re-evaluate security measures.

HELP please!!! I am nearly 18 and I still wear training bras! I feel like I am 10 yrs. old!!!?

I don't even have an A-cup!!! Can somebody please help me??? I don't know what to do! I am already such a tom-boy...this just makes it worse, and I think I should start acting more feminine...maybe it would help if I looked more feminine 1st though!!! ps-what is the difference between size 32, 34, and 36? Sometimes I hear people say they are "34-C" or "36-C".....what is the difference? What do the numbers mean??? I don't understand any of this and is there a way I can make my boobs bigger???

HELP please!!! I am nearly 18 and I still wear training bras! I feel like I am 10 yrs. old!!!?
The number is the measurement around your chest under your breasts plus 4 or 5. If the measurement is even, add 4. If its an odd number, add 5.

So a 34 inch measurement would be a 38 band size. A 31" measurement would be a 36 band size.

To get the letter, measure around the breasts at the widest part. Take that measurement from the first measurement. One inch is an A, two inches is a B, three is a C, etc.

No way except for surgery to make them bigger.

Its not all genetics. My mom is a C cup and I ended up being a J cup.
Reply:if you don't even have an A cup go to the gyno for a few blood tests.... the same happened to my cousin and it turned out she had a hormonal in-balance at had to be treated there explain her "childish" body.... its treated very easily don't worry........ on the other hand it can be genetics
Reply:It's all to do with genetics, and when I was 18 I didn't have an A cup. I am 27 now, and haven't had kids yet, but now I'm a B cup. There is still hope, but I wouldn't worry I'm sure you look fine without. P.S. 32, 34, etc. is the measurement of the circumference around you chest, and the cup size is your actual breast.
Reply:There are several questions you asked.

1. For the measurements and the meaning, you can goto any internet sites that sells female clothings or even pick up any catalogs from those companies. They have details on the measurements. I am sure you can find it at VictoriasSecret, for example. essentially you need two measurements. The 32, 34, etc. is the measurement you take underneath you breast. The 2nd measurement is to measurement around the chest (top of the breasts). Obviously the 2nd number will be larger. The difference between the two will determine the cup size. If the difference is 1", it's A-Cup, difference is 2", B-cup, etc.

2. Breast size is one of the many things to make people (and you) feel how feminine a person is. Big boobs get talked about a lot because for guys, they are right there and quite "visual". However, you can be as feminine as you want without messing up what the nature gave you.
Reply:34, 36, is your back size. The measurement around your chest. The cup size A,B, is your cup size . A is amaller than B etc. I would go to Victoria Secrets or use online and get a padded bra. Many girls wear these.
Reply:The number measurement comes from how many inches it is around your back and under your breasts. Just because two women are a size C cup doesn't mean their breasts are the same size. A 36 C is going to be slightly larger than a 34 C. Because the 36 has more volume so the size of the actual cup is bigger.

But there is nothing at all wrong with having a small chest. Some guys actually prefer it that way. Just learn to appreciate yourself. Try some Victoria's Secret bras. They can enhance what you have, and they'll help you feel more confident. Any kind of push up should do the trick. Buy something that makes you feel feminine and confident.

I'm out of work, Offered training and Employ as a Truck Driver, Any Advice?

Company is C.R. England, Refrigerated hauler. Seen their Web Page and It looks ok so i applied. Well aware of some disadvantages

ie: sleeping in rig, long days away from home, ect. Just looking for some insight. THANKS!!!

I'm out of work, Offered training and Employ as a Truck Driver, Any Advice?
long hours!!!!
Reply:If you don't already have a CDL license, you probably ought to do a little more research. More than a few trucking companies offer paid training (Swift and Schneider do as well) but it also indebts you to them for a set period of time to "pay back" the costs of training (usually a year) and if you quit before a year is up, you will owe them the remaining amount for your training.

So unless you want to be stuck owing money, or have your credit ruined, you should be *absolutely sure* about becoming a truck driver before you commit to it. It's not a job so much as it is a lifestyle.

To learn more about the industry and what it is REALLY like (and no- you don't get "the jobs no one else wants"....you'll be dispatched from the same load board as everyone else, nor will you necessarily "hate all car drivers" if you approach life with a laid back and safety conscious attitude).....You can join this email based discussion group for prospective truck drivers: http://finance.groups.yahoo.com/group/tr...

There are a lot of experienced drivers on there to answer your questions %26amp; concerns....and it's a very nice group, no flaming or rudeness allowed.

A few basic things....if you have a family, especially with kids at home, trucking is a very difficult life. You'll be pulled between your obligations at home %26amp; your obligations to make enough money to feed your family. Most of the truck drivers out here who hate their jobs, are the ones who got into it, not knowing how hard it would be to balance work %26amp; family life. Divorce rates among truckers are some of the highest nationwide.

If you are quick to anger or get frustrated, you may be better suited to another profession. Trucking can be very stressful and even the most laid-back of us gets upset once in a while. You'll have rude drivers, traffic, delays at shippers %26amp; recievers, the occasional shipper/reciever who treats you with disrespect, etc. You may have dispatchers who don't respect you, or who expect you to do things that aren't possible (time-wise). These sorts of things are easiest to handle if you are easy going %26amp; do well at keeping things in perspective.

If you're single, laid back %26amp; enjoy traveling, you may very well love your job as a truck driver. I do...and I found my husband out here, and we now enjoy it together. It can be the best choice you've ever made or your worst nightmare, there are a lot of resources on the Web...take advantage %26amp; do your research and do NOT enter into this career field without knowing what you're getting into!!!
Reply:Having truck drivers is important for society. However, it is important to remember that you aren't going to have a great career, because truck driving doesn't open up a lot of opportunities for you. In fact, it takes away opportunities in that you will be so far away for much of your time. Also, you will be under pressure from your employers and the police, because you have to meet deadlines.

I get the impression truck drivers have deadlines that have no room for error.
Reply:It is not for everyone, but it can become a pretty good career if you can handle the negative aspects of it.

1. Priority jobs go to the experienced. You will be getting the jobs they don't want.

2. You can be gone from home for two weeks at a time sleeping in the truck and cheap motels.

3. You will be paid a lower mileage rate then other drivers.

4. You will be pressured to drive longer and further than logic dictates. You will have to resist the temptation to please in order to not burn out or get in an accident.

5. You will learn to hate drivers of automobiles.

This is only a partial list, but if you get the drift.....

B. adjudication.

C. waiver.

And it don't work.... they did it in the 1970's with all the mental institutions... and all it did was put a ton of homeless on the street.

More liberal silliness.... the reason? They said if you keep like people together it makes them worse. So, put them in society and they will magically be cured. Rubbish!

That's the muscle that if you contract while nailing someone, you c*m straight away!

I dont see the benefit of training the PC muscle for sex?
Haha, The point is to do it throughout the day - so that when you have intercourse, it enhances the experience - not during intercourse. :)
Reply:It is called kegals, and women use it to squeeze their vagina, men use it to stop from ejaculating until they darn well ready. If you can't last for at least an hour or more during sex, even fast hammering, then you need more practise with kegals.
Reply:It makes it better for the FEMALE, you know, they have needs too. But, after some time, maybe you won't blow your load too soon, and you'll get to see her have some pleasure while contracting her PC muscles.
Reply:You exercise the pc muscle so that you have better control! How the heck do expect to hit the g-spot well if you can't control love muscle????

A/C accumulator?

I have a leak in the accumulator of my 1997 Ford Explorer and am curious if this is an inexpensive part and does it take special training to install, or can I buy one and install it myself? I'm no mechanic, but can usually handle the easy things.

A/C accumulator?
Since you have a leak there is like no freon to evacuate.

Mechanical know how is needed but there is no need for any expertise I just replaced the entire AC compressor, accumulator w/hose and return line - and I am a moron.

Your's does blow chunks though since most of the hoses and such run underneath other stuff to get to the Compressor.

The accumulator you asked about with hose is about $85 from Napa or Autozone (always do the hose with the accumulator if they are in two pieces. You'll need a plastic oring tool that used to life the spring holding the metal tube intot he firewall. And you'll need a wrench to loosen the nut holding the accumulator tube from the AC Compressor. Easy but dirty in your case.

On my 87 Mustang the AC stuff runs high in the engine bay. Not so with your 97.

If you willing to do the work and trace the lines it's an easy removal and install. About $200 in labor alone for someone to do it. My accumulator swap took me about half twenty minutes. Where your hoses run and getting to them will take 30 to 45 minutes probably.

The accumulator should be on against the firewall with a metal tube coming off of it and going into the firewall.

Accumulator and hose - $85 from Napa or Autozone. Comes with the orings.

Plastic oring/tube tool. - $10 for four (different sizes for the different hoses) Autozone

Good Luck.
Reply:Don't try installing this part yourself. To take the old part off, the entire AC system has to be evacuated. When you put the new part on the system will need to be charged.

In general I'd say only two things on a car should always be repaired by trained proffesionals, the ac system and the transmission. Becasue if you don't know what you are doing it's way too easy to cause mucho harm.
Reply:Replacing the accumulator will require the system to be emptied of refrigerant, the new accumulator installed, then a vacuum to remove the air from the system, and new refrigerant installed. Ideally, a leak test should also be performed, to make certain that the new part isn't leaking....

If you have the tools, you could do this yourself, but if you're like most of us, you'll need someone who does this sort of work to take care of it for you...
Reply:Take your car to a pro. If your not a mechanic, I'm sure you don't have the equiptment to legally do the job.
Reply:Anything to do with your a/c other than just a refill would entail tools and expertise the average person would not have, the a/c system is a sealed system and if you vent freon to the atmosphere it can be dangerous and in some places illegal. I suggest you take the car to a mechanic

I'm a teacher in training, and want to see how challenging this question is and who can answer it. Thanks!

Calculate the value of data in the following circumstance:

b. Fred works for a Grocery store.

c. The company keeps all its inventory data on an excel spreadsheet.

d. It is updated daily

e. The store orders at the end of each day and food arrives within a week.

f. As the food arrives, the Inventory file is updated

g. The company throws all orders and receipts in a drawer

h. If the Inventory file were lost

i. It would take 2 weeks (80 hours @ $20/ hour) to reconstruct the status of orders

ii. It would take 20 hours @ $10 / hour to redo the inventory the entire store

iii. The store would lose $10,000 in business because of lack of inventory

i. Backups for the Inventory file

i. The office manager will do backups

ii. The office manager makes $20 an hour

iii. Backups take 1 hour per day, if done.

What is the value of the Inventory data?

What is the yearly cost of doing the backup

I'm a teacher in training, and want to see how challenging this question is and who can answer it. Thanks!
If you want to be a teacher, you need to get your alphabet in order. You missed letter A. then you went to I then a 2, 3 and then back to I (twice) and 2, 3 again.

Perhaps you missed so items in your list, but no matter your attention to detail is key as a teacher.

As for an answer, the yearly cost of the manager doing a daily backup is $7,280 (given 7 days in a week, 52 weeks a year and 1 hour at $20)

The value of the inventory data is "invaluable" as the cost of it being lost far outweighs the cost to do the backup.

Anyone heard of Internet income training www.ecomtrainers.?
Hi there. I've received those before. Two free tickets, a free meal after a 90 minute presentation, free planner or some gift, just show up at a hotel. I own an online store with different affiliates and was curious about what this deal was so I went. About 40 or 50 people show up and the presenter talks about taking advantage of e-commerce and using their company to learn how to market to sertain demographics. They also promote a 1 day training seminar for $20 (US) where you get personally consulted about what you want to sell/offer. In my opinion the info presented was valid but not appealing to me. Like I said, I already own a business that allows me to promote and offer almost everything at one place rather than a single line of products or services. As for going to training seminars, I personally belong to a professional development group and I find great value in learning from the leaders and training materials for my business but everyone needs to make their own decision about that. I franchise my business out and I believe what I offer people is a much better deal than the ideas presented at the "Internet Marketing Conference" but to each his own. Hope this helped.

Would you support a federal training and service requirement for unskilled immigrants?

If I have to give tax dollars for immigrant issues, I would like some used this way:

1. Volutary program for young men and women.

2. Up to 6 months of free English instruction with a sitpend.

3. Owe 18 months in Federal Service.

a. Fighting Forrest Fires/Clearing Parks

b. Responding to Natural Disasters.

c. Teaching English if so skilled.

d. Can volunteer for the military.

4. For the total of 24 months we could give citizenship and a GI Bill type benefit.

5. The US will have a more skillful, english speaking, and patriotic immigrant population.

Would you support a federal training and service requirement for unskilled immigrants?
No,

Why do you feel we need to cater to these people?

How about this program:

1. Keep their unskilled butts home

2. Put the tax dollars saved back in our pockets.
Reply:I don't think it should be voluntary. Immigrants are not aliens. They intend to make the US their home. Therefore any program that results in citizenship should be mandatory.

Absolutely no free ANYTHING. You come to the US, learn English. that's one of the hurdles you have to jump through for citizenship. Nobody gave free English lessons to the Chinese, the Japanese, the Germans, the Russians, the Italians, the French, or any of the other immigrants who bult this country. What makes new immigrants so special?

I think a minimum of 4 years of Federal Service should be required of every American, regardless whether they're born here or immigrate and settle here.

There are already programs in place if one so desires to fight forest fires, clean parks, respond to disasters, teaching English.

I think every American citizen should have a 4-year military OBLIGATION.

After they complete the process, they would be citizens. You want to give them a "GI Bll-type" benefit. Then make them reinstate that for the military. When these new citizens get out of the service, they would be entitled to the benefits.

I think you may be missing the point. The United States wants a skilled, English-speaking, patriotic immigrant population. And it already has it.

What the United States doesn't want, and should in no way support, is people who outlaw themselves knowingly and intentionally, and who expect to be rewarded for doing so. There are, and by rights should be, no legal rights for these illegal aliens beyond being deported over the nearest US border.

The difference, according to Webster, between the words "alien" and "immigrant" is one of allegiance. The immigrant gives up his or her allegiance to the country they leave and gives it all the the country into which they immigrate. The support that country. they become citizens in a ceremony in which that change of allegiance becomes official.

An alien has no allegiance to the country in which he or she finds himself or herself. In the case of US aliens, most are not here with any intent to become citizens. Most are here for the free ride. And we're dumb enough to give it to them. And, when we say, "Hey, you're here here illegally. You are, in fact, criminals," they get upset. Why? There's no rational reason, but they don't care. They don't care about the country. I don't know if they even care about Mexico... or wherever they're from. They are not "illegal immigrants." They are criminals. They are guilty. There is no defense. The very fact that they're breathing air within the borders of the United States and have circumvented the paperwork that allows legal immigration and visitation, makes them criminal. And to, in any way, intimate that we might even consider aiding them in their illegal activity is at best naive.

The already cost us tax money. They get Social Security, never having paid into it. They cost through the nose in non-tax money. Because they can't or don't pay for services, they get them for free. But services cost money. Who do you thinks pays for them. Your doctor bills, you dental bills are high, not so much because the doctor or dentist is making a lot of money, but because he has to treat so many people who do not pay.

Since this country was founded, immigrants have left everything to come to this country. Generations of them have toiled and died to build it, and to defend it. Citizenship should be considered a labor of love. It should not be considered a gift, or a right, or a benefits package, nor should it be subsidized.
Reply:This idea still doesn't address the issues of "illegal" immigration. Some of you continue to ignore the word "illegal". I don't agree with this idea, due to the fact that these criminals didn't get in line, but crossed our borders "illegally" ahead of everyone else who is trying to get here the correct way. This means they should not be awarded any benefits of becoming an American citizen until they go back to where ever they came from %26amp; do it the correct way also. As for free training... Why should our tax dollars go to anything free. Our government won't even foot the bill for it's own people, so why should we (American citizens) foot the bill for people that break our laws %26amp; disrespect our flag.
Reply:no. if we let them work they should fend for themselves just like everyone else.
Reply:NO to all of it, use the money to round them up and deport them. Build the fence and guard the border, we have spent enough money on them. They tell us that the price of fruit and veggies will go up. I just saw water melons $9.00, how much are these illegals gettin paid?

If it were up to me, get them all out of the country as fast as possible!
Reply:Why would you.
Reply:You're already catching flack from the conservative boobery, but your idea has merit.

I'm especially fond of the national service requirement and language training.

If we don't make the mistake of electing another retributive Republican next year this could easily become addendum to the current immigration bill.
Reply:No, why in the world would we want to use USA tax payers money to educate immigrants . If they can not support themselves why would we want them. We need to use the money to care for our own.

Contact a few of the companies that you want to work for. (Werner, Covenant, C.R. England, Swift, etc...) and ask about a local school they might recommend for OTR training. Some of these companies offer reimbursement for the cost of the training. (Usually after a period of time working for them) They would be able to point you to a school that they themselves hire from.

Btw, I would really recommend Werner. They have one of the best safety records. They have some really nice perks for their drivers and I know that they actively recruit from at least some schools. Contact their HR department and tell them you would like to have a recommendation for a local school they recruit from.

C.I.A. test.....what would you do?

A few months ago, there was an opening with the CIA for an assassin. These highly classified positions are hard to fill, and there's a lot of testing and background checks involved before you can even be considered for the position.

After sending some applicants through the background checks, training and testing, they narrowed the possible choices down to two men and a woman, but only one position was available.

The day came for the final test to see which peson would get the extremely secretive job. The CIA men administering the test took one of the men to a large metal door and handed him a gun. "We must know that you will follow our instructions whatever the circumstances," they explained.

"Inside this room, you will find your wife sitting in a chair. Take this gun and kill her."

The man looked horrified and said, "You can't be serious! I could never shoot my wife!"

"Well," said the CIA man, "you're definitely not the right man for this job then."

So they brought the second man to the same door and handed him a gun. "We must know that you will follow instructions no matter what the circumstances," they explained to the second man.

"Inside you will find your wife sitting in a chair. Take this gun and kill her."

The second man looked a bit shocked, but nevertheless took the gun and went in the room. All was quiet for about 5 minutes; then the door opened. The man came out of the room with tears in his eyes.

"I tried to shoot her; I just couldn't pull the trigger and shoot my wife. I guess I'm not the right man for the job."

"No," the CIA man replied, "You don't have what it takes. Take your wife and go home."

Now they only had the woman left to test. They led her to the same door to the same room and handed her the same gun.

"We must be sure that you will follow instructions no matter what the circumstances; this is your final test. Inside you will find your husband sitting in a chair. Take this gun and kill him."

The woman took the gun and opened the door. Before the door even closed all the way, the CIA men heard the gun start firing, one shot after another for 13 shots. Then all hell broke loose in the room. They heard screaming, crashing, and banging on the walls. This went on for several minutes; then all went quiet.

The door opened slowly, and there stood the woman. She wiped the sweat from her brow and said, "You guys didn't tell me the gun was loaded with blanks. I had to beat the son of a gun to death with the chair!"

C.I.A. test.....what would you do?

Is a 25 minute strength training enough??

10 mins. on each arm- working each muscle individually. Then 5 mins of squats, tip-toe standing, and agility work. Every other day, plus running and excersize i already do daily. If I keep this up a. will i build bulky muscle?? i dont want that. b.do you think i'll actually get stronger or just burn fat? c. do you think i'll burn any fat at all???

thanks, sorry this question is so complicated.

Is a 25 minute strength training enough??
Your question is not complicated, however I hope my answer is not either.

It is very hard for a woman to build a bulky body, because of differences in testosterone and growth hormone levels, so do not worry about that. (If you want resistance training to be benificial, you must train just like a man does, and the more muscle you add the more fat your body will burn, even at rest).

25 minutes of strength training is long enough as long as your "intensity" is high, however you also want to train with "volume" too.

"Intensity".. Training extremely hard, to complete muscular failure. Keep doing reps, (even after the burn) until you cannot possibly do another rep. (Usually low reps in the 9-12 and 6-9 area) These workouts should last about 20-30 minutes. This form of training will elevate your testosterone levels.

"Volume".. Training moderately hard, before muscular failure.

Quit about 2-4 reps before failure. (Usually high reps in the 15-18 and 12-15 area) These workouts should last about 1 hour. This form of training will elevate you growth hormone levels. To make your workouts last this long, do more exercises for different body parts.

You should not combine both forms of training or you will overtrain your nervous system.

Try training with "intensity" for 3 weeks and then "volume" for 3 weeks and then repeat the sequence.

Good Luck
Reply:Yes. If you have more time, spend it on aerobic exercise.
Reply:If you run and do all that you will build muscle but most likely you will just get toned and stay toned... you might burn a lil fat but not an extreme amount.
Reply:yes
Reply:My Weight lifting routine is 25 mintues including stretches. I feel stronger and do this every other day as well as cardio 3 days a week I lost 15lbs in 7 weeks
Reply:You will get stronger if you increase weight as the exercises get easier.

Also, to prevent "bulky"muscles (which are very hard for women to get to begin with), use less weight and more reps. That's how swimmers get that lean build.

Call your local Red Cross. They offer first aid training. If they don't offer what you need, they'll probably know who in your area does. You could also inquire at your local fire department (do NOT call 911); they should know.

The minimum number of training days per week for gaining strength is...?

A. 2-3

B. 3-4

C. 5-6

D. 6-7

The minimum number of training days per week for gaining strength is...?
2-3 Per muscle group usually.
Reply:I'd say a minimum would be A, but definite max is C. Ideal would be B really. Assuming a split routine, you shouldn't work out a particular muscle too often in order to give it a chance to recover, but you don't want to wait too long either so that you can make gains.
Reply:The min is 3 days, you need an alternate day off for a major muscle group(chest,Biceps, triceps)for rest and growth

My puppy and house training?

My 4 month old Golden Retriever is pretty much hose broken. He went outside to go potty for the first time after 2 days of having him. He was exactly 6 weeks old when we got him too. He still has accidents in the house. We will leave him outside with our pitbull for about 6 hours a day, and when he comes inside, it never fails he ends up going potty. Sometimes we'll watch him during walks and he'll poop atleast 3 or 4 times, but when we come inside he has to go again... I end up picking him up and putting him outside, so he'll just poop on our deck. He's too big now to keep confined to just our living room so he and out pit have the kitchen and the living room to roam in. We keep our bedroom off limits b/c he will poop in there. I'm not sure what to do to help with the last little step to get him to poop everything outside. He pees inside sometimes too, but we already know that he gets too excited so after he plays he needs to go outside, but just bringing him back in is our problem?

My puppy and house training?
You need go outside with him and praise him for going to the washroom. Give him treats and pets and tell him things like " good boy" this will encourage him that going outside is something good. Ignore him when he goes inside, don't hit him, or say no, yell or giving any attention. Instead just take him outside and wait until he goes.
Reply:feed him three of four times a day. after every meal, wait ten minutes then let him out for 15 miutes or so... this should take care of the pooping problem
Reply:same here, be patient

Husband in USAF basic training...Worried that he won't feel the same about me after?

So mys husband is in basic right now and graduates may 23rd. He hasn't writtne me a letter back, and I've sent him several. I don't know if that's b/c he doesn't have time? I'm just afraid he won't want to be with me after for some reason... Did anyone feel that way after basic? Or did it make your relationship stronger....

Husband in USAF basic training...Worried that he won't feel the same about me after?
he loves you very much. probly more now then ever. him not writing is mostly him trying to concentrate on his training so he can get out on time to see you. write him as much as possible, if he doesnt write you dont get discouraged there is various reasons why but write him. when i was going through infantry school the training was so intense for me(partly cause i left out of shape) on my free time i studied, excersised, straighten out my locker. i ever only had enough time write my wife maybe once or twice a week. but me putting in that extra effort set a good platform from the rest of my career with all the awards and i never got into trouble. some people manage that and write every day, i couldnt my wife understood. just dont give up. the 23rd is just around the corner
Reply:One of the purposes of BMT is to tear down an individuals reliance on family in order to be able to complete a mission. When a Flight's TI feels that this crutch has been removed, trainees are allowed to communicate with the outside world, on a very limited means to reduce relapse. Its not the best thing in the world to hear, but in a few weeks your husband will be out of BMT and on to technical training, which is not as stringent as Basic.
Reply:He is working so hard right now, he has no time to write to you. Write him at least twice a week... Let him know you miss him, BRIEFLY... then be his cheerleader. Tell him how proud you are of him... how confident you are in his abilities. Don't burden him with anything going on at home. He can't do anything to help out, and it'll just make him feel worse. You be his cheerleader, and he'll be so grateful when he gets out, he won't ever forget that your letters got him through the experience!
Reply:lol hunney he will be so glad to see you. If by stronger you mean hes going to want to pull over and have some on the side of the road i am betting that has happened a few times. Seriously he has seen mostly men for the last 6 weeks or so being front to back with o maybe 6 inches between his nose and the back of the head in front of him. He has probably just been so buisy or tired that writing hasn't been on the top of his to do list. Sleeping becomes very important.
Reply:They're running his *** off right now. In a few weeks he'll have more time to write. Just keep sending him letters and pictures. I guarantee you that he'll appreciate it. My guess is that he wasn't much of a writer before he got there.

Trust me on this, when he gets back with you, after basic, he's going to be VERY enthusiastic about you, if you know what I mean.
Reply:He's a bit busy right now. He'll write.

Any tips, tricks for training the dexterity, agility and reflexes of my fingers for playing the guitar?

1) i cant press the strings hard enough with the 4th and last finger, hence the sound is always muffled.

2) i also have trouble avoiding the next string from hitting my fingers. eg, when strumming on the F chord, the 4th string always bounces and hits my last finger, causing a trembling sound.

i realise that with practice, i can avoid the 2 problems with the C, D and G chords, but now im moving on to a new chord F, this problems occur. any solutions?

Any tips, tricks for training the dexterity, agility and reflexes of my fingers for playing the guitar?
1) Make sure you are pressing as close to the fret bar as possible. (2nd fret = press close to the 2nd fret bar). It is a lot more economical as the strings are naturally closer to the fret and will therefore require less strength for them to sound out.

2) Make sure you are playing with your fingerTIPS and nothing else. Unless your fingers are huge, this can be overcome with practice.

3) Unfortunately, there are no quick-fixes. For your F chord, just keep on playing it will every string rings. Then rinse and repeat.
Reply:Yeah you gotta keep with it to build up some finger strength. Check out http://www.guitartricks.com for some exercises to help out.
Reply:Practice, practice, practice. Play until you are in so much pain you want to cry. Try and play with your fingers further and further apart... the sound doesn't matter, remember, you're trying to stretch them.

Do I need special training to become a paralegal?

I'm considering a career change to a paralegal. I have a master's degree in psychology, excellent writing and speaking skills, and decent computer skills. I also currently own my own business, which has been successful for the past 10 years, although I am simply bored and looking for something different to do. The current salary I pull from my business is about $70,000. I understand a paralegal would not make this kind of money, but I wouldn't be doing it for the money. I've taken two undergraduate courses, in intro to the legal system and legal writing, and found both interesting and not difficult. Can I simply put my C.V. out there to legal firms and see what happens, or would I require more paralegal courses to improve my chances of being hired?

Do I need special training to become a paralegal?
There are several ways to become a paralegal. The most common is through a community college paralegal program that leads to an associates degree. The other common method of entry, mainly for those who already have a college degree, is through a program that leads to a certification in paralegal studies. A small number of schools also offer bachelors and masters degrees in paralegal studies. Some employers train paralegals on the job, hiring college graduates with no legal experience or promoting experienced legal secretaries. Other entrants have experience in a technical field that is useful to law firms, such as a background in tax preparation for tax and estate practice or in criminal justice, nursing, or health administration for personal injury practice.

An estimated 1,000 colleges and universities, law schools, and proprietary schools offer formal paralegal training programs. Approximately 260 paralegal programs are approved by the American Bar Association (ABA). Although many programs do not require such approval, graduation from an ABA-approved program can enhance ones employment opportunities. The requirements for admission to these programs vary. Some require certain college courses or a bachelors degree, others accept high school graduates or those with legal experience, and a few schools require standardized tests and personal interviews.

Paralegal programs include 2-year associate degrees programs, 4-year bachelors degree programs, and certificate programs that can take only a few months to complete. Most certificate programs provide intensive and, in some cases, specialized paralegal training for individuals who already hold college degrees, while associates and bachelors degree programs usually combine paralegal training with courses in other academic subjects. The quality of paralegal training programs varies; the better programs usually include job placement services. Programs generally offer courses introducing students to the legal applications of computers, including how to perform legal research on the Internet. Many paralegal training programs also offer an internship in which students gain practical experience by working for several months in a private law firm, the office of a public defender or attorney general, a bank, a corporate legal department, a legal aid organization, or a government agency. Experience gained in internships is an asset when one is seeking a job after graduation. Prospective students should examine the experiences of recent graduates before enrolling in a paralegal program.

Although most employers do not require certification, earning a voluntary certificate from a professional society may offer advantages in the labor market. The National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA), for example, has established standards for certification requiring various combinations of education and experience. Paralegals who meet these standards are eligible to take a 2-day examination, given three times each year at several regional testing centers. Those who pass this examination may use the Certified Legal Assistant (CLA) designation. The NALA also offers an advanced paralegal certification for those who want to specialize in other areas of the law. In addition, the Paralegal Advanced Competency Exam, administered through the National Federation of Paralegal Associations, offers professional recognition to paralegals with a bachelors degree and at least 2 years of experience. Those who pass this examination may use the Registered Paralegal (RP) designation.

Paralegals must be able to document and present their findings and opinions to their supervising attorney. They need to understand legal terminology and have good research and investigative skills. Familiarity with the operation and applications of computers in legal research and litigation support also is important. Paralegals should stay informed of new developments in the laws that affect their area of practice. Participation in continuing legal education seminars allows paralegals to maintain and expand their knowledge of the law.

Because paralegals frequently deal with the public, they should be courteous and uphold the ethical standards of the legal profession. The National Association of Legal Assistants, the National Federation of Paralegal Associations, and a few States have established ethical guidelines for paralegals to follow.

Paralegals usually are given more responsibilities and require less supervision as they gain work experience. Experienced paralegals who work in large law firms, corporate legal departments, or government agencies may supervise and delegate assignments to other paralegals and clerical staff. Advancement opportunities also include promotion to managerial and other law-related positions within the firm or corporate legal department. However, some paralegals find it easier to move to another law firm when seeking increased responsibility or advancement.

Earnings of paralegals and legal assistants vary greatly. Salaries depend on education, training, experience, the type and size of employer, and the geographic location of the job. In general, paralegals who work for large law firms or in large metropolitan areas earn more than those who work for smaller firms or in less populated regions. In addition to earning a salary, many paralegals receive bonuses. In May 2004, full-time wage and salary paralegals and legal assistants had median annual earnings, including bonuses, of $39,130. The middle 50 percent earned between $31,040 and $49,950. The top 10 percent earned more than $61,390, while the bottom 10 percent earned less than $25,360.

Median annual earnings in the industries employing the largest numbers of paralegals in May 2004 were as follows:

Federal Government $59,370

Local government 38,260

Legal services 37,870

State government 34,910

Any tips on litter training a rat?

I've read a lot about it and it does not sound too hard. You just need to put some sort of litter that is different from the rest of the cage in a box and continue to put her stool in it right? (The rest of the cage would be comfy towels and stuff) And if she is seen going somewhere else you just put her back in the box..? Also what about when she is out of the cage? Does she need a litter box set up where she is (b/c that would make sense). Also what type of litter would you recommend, I was thinking about putting either carefresh or yesturday's news in the box. How thick should it be? Thanks.. :)

Any tips on litter training a rat?
Some rats litter train easily. Some don't. Some go in one corner all of the time. Some don't. Mine are part of those that don't fit into the normal rat category. Just in case yours ends up in the same category, I'll go ahead and let you know what I have done.

My rats poo whenever the feeling hits them. If that means they are in the middle of a bound over the couch, so be it. Out it flies. They have since stopped using the couch as a pooing area, but that was the first few months I had them. Now they poo in the cage while doing whatever. There is no "poo stance" that I can find. Some individuals can tell when theirs are ready to go. Mine don't do this.

It was a nightmare to potty train them and I followed the dapper rat instructions as best I could. The problem for me was moving them into the litter box on the off chance I found them pooing outside of the box. That was impossible when to get to the girls, I had to open up the crazy cage door and by the time I got it opened she'd have finished or bolted for her home because a giant hand was coming her way.

They had no specific corner they went in. They went in all but the food corner. That's when I read an article that said they generally won't poo in the same corner as their water, food or housing (not true btw- mine pood behind their house constantly). So, I put the water bottle in one corner, a grass ball home in another corner (got rid of the wooden colorful home I had due to its size and the wood soaking up the urine smell) and their food in another with the litter box in the remaining corner. Then I grabbed the biggest ferret litter box I could find and put some Kaytee brand smelly litter (mint or lavender- the rose smell made me ill) in it, crossed my fingers and prayed. I used YN for the bedding. They took to it almost immediately. I now have far more poop in the litter box than the rest of the cage. They don't poo in the grass ball corner, nor do they poo in the food corner. The water bottle corner tends to be a toss-up. But, the more poo in the litter box means less cleaning for me.

So ultimately what worked for me was simply putting Kaytee smelly litter bedding in the litter box and making sure the litter box was large enough for them. I think the combo of the smell and the different texture clued them in.

As for outside of the cage- when they are babies, every twenty minutes or so let her back in the cage to do her business. When she is grown, she will be able to hold it for an hour or so and you won't need to worry. It would be fine to just bring the litter box out with you when they are out so they can go. Mine like to play in it when it's outside their cage *sigh*. So I just make sure to either have the cage on the floor so they can run in when they need to go, or I just put them back after an hour.

Also, rats do FAR better as a pair. Please get your rat a friend. A same sex litter mate is best. If you cannot devote 4 plus hours a day to your rat, she will be lonely. Another rat is no harder to care for and she will live a happier, more fulfilled with a friend. (http://www.nfrs.org/company.html)

Good luck =)
Reply:Rats usually go in one corner of cage.

When you determine that area, put a low dis/container with a few droppings in there (litter too),.. ratty will soon use the provided pan.
Reply:The best was is to adopt a wild, adult cat to get rid of the discusting rat droppings left by a nasty rat, by getting rid of the rat.
Reply:Aww! She is so itty-bitty!

I have been trying to litter-train my rat since I got him..he is a bit of a blockhead and hasn't grasped the concept yet ;).

What I do is use yesterdays news in one corner and pick up his poos and pop them there..if he assumes the position to wiz, I try to pick him up and place him there - but that doesn't always work. If it doesn't, I scoop the little eco-bedding he peed on and pop it in the corner. I am hoping he will get the idea soon and start doing his business in the corner.

You are on the right track using a potty-box and placing her little raisins in it - keep it up and be consistent and she will learn in no time! It is also a good idea to see if she uses a particular corner..if she prefers to potty in another corner of the cage, sometimes it is a good idea to move her litter box to that corner and just utilize that one instead of the corner you may have chosen. Good luck!!
Reply:I saw on the TV, I think it was on Dirty Jobs, that rats are incontinent, and they dribble urine all the time. So I would think, from that information, that rats cannot be litter trained.
Reply:Buy a litter pan and some sand (included) at your local petstore.
Reply:Cute pic!

In the cage she will pick her spot; if you put a litter tray there and she uses it fine, but she is just as likely to pick somewhere else because you have.

Little dustpan and brush, for the place she chooses?

The cage is her home and she will keep that tidy, but outside when the girl wants to go she will go.

Future X-C Assistant Coach Prospects?

This year as a senior, I trained hard in the summer.

My former personal best was 25:10, and then it became 22:35 at the first race of the season, and then 22:22

I started out really great.

I would really like to say that 70 % of it was to to the fact that me and my (twin) sister were training independently.

Towards the end of the year, I developed a short-term tendenitis, laid off for ten days, and then ran my last race at 24:10.

There was some decrease in workload during the times we practiced in the summer (with the team). My sister and I actually pushed ourselves harder and knew exactly what was necessary to obtain goals.

During the first weeks of September, we actually tapered off A LOT because of the new runners that were added

Even though my time was crappy, some people told me that I "ran brave" or "put up a good fight".

I fear that if my coach decides on repeating the same procedures that he does this year, they will not improve as much as they have the potential to.

Future X-C Assistant Coach Prospects?
alright, i didnt read your entire thing...but from skimming it, i think you should. it does not matter what your time is as long as your work ethic and respect from your teamates regardless of who good you are is there. on my xc team, im a senior who has only run xc for two years, i am not in the top but i get respect from my teamates by helping them with form and work ethics. so i would give it a try.

Woman Marine basic training prep tips?

I'm a senior in high school and I don't plan on enlisting until I turn 18 b/c my family won't support me, but since I have all this time, I'd really like some advice on how to get into tip top shape.. I'm a little overweight w/ strong legs but virtually no upper body strength.. What are some tips about ANYTHING that can help me with building strength, endurance, and dropping the extra pounds.. Also if anyone knows the weight requirements for females, that'd be a big help also!!

Woman Marine basic training prep tips?
Start running at least 3 times a week, do at least 100 sit ups/crinches daily before you go to sleep. In bootcamp they gonna run you until you pass out, you do run alot. I been in the Marines 9 years, and to this date i still run at least 3 times a week. Been a female you dont need alot of upper body strength. good luck
Reply:I have never been in the military but everybody knows that it is tough. Stop eating junk snacks if you do and replace them with fruit and nuts. Use skim milk instead of whole milk. Don't go on a diet though because you will get weaker, just choose healthier alternatives. When you exercise start out slowly and build up. Gets some hand held weights and exercise and run while holding them. Do push ups. If you can join a gym, do so or go to the YMCA to get tips from others on exercises. You do not want to injure yourself.
Reply:RUN, RUN, RUN!! Do those push-ups. Get rid of as much body fat as you can now. The better shape your in, the better for you in boot camp. Get a back pack and fill it with about fifty pounds of rocks, put it on your back and run, run, run. I am not kidding about this, I am serious as cancer. They are going to try to run your legs off you. You will need mega arm strength, so lift weights. Good luck to you.
Reply:Join the Weight training class if it is offered at your school. or ask a P.E. Teacher or sports coach. And actually participate in it don't just work on your legs you will want to focus on your shoulders and back a lot. The teacher will guide you on how to use all the machines. Also Cardio is important so go on a run each day while in training.

Good Luck

Should I promise to do this?

Should I promise to dress up like a Smurf and sing the Smurfs theme song on every C-Train platform in Calgary if the Flames don't win the Stanley Cup this year?

Remember, I haven't promised anything yet.

Should I promise to do this?
Only if you ALSO promise to take video and post it!!
Reply:Sounds like you would do it even if they win. You have an odd fetish. Weirdo.
Reply:you should...and then you could post a video on youtube for everyone to see....because chances are they wont win it
Reply:No way the flames wont even get past the first round.
Reply:Definitely do it.
Reply:Definitely not since they probably won't make it past the first round. That is, unless you like embarrassing yourself in public?
Reply:Well... Calgary won't make the second round... First round against DETROIT! You must be stupid if you'll dress up like a smurf... Though i would like to see and hear it :P
Reply:Yeah, maybe you'll be as famous as Baton Bob:)
Reply:I wouldn't because the Flames are going down. There's too muc competition in the west for them to make the finals.
Reply:No! Their chanes are slim! Everybody's chances are slim!!

The best team have maybe a 20% chance this year. It's so evenly matched that it's ridiculous.

Maybe you should agree to do that if the Flames to win the Cup this year. You'll probably have a lot more fun doing it that way.

Is Indian Chess Federation downgrading Coaches by offering meagre coaching fee of Rs.1000/- for Grand Master?

Appeal to Our Senior Players / IMS' / WIM's / GM's / WGM's / FM's and coaches

AICF proposes to short list the names of coaches who are interested to coach our players and prepare them for National and International tournaments. Those interested are requested to send a mail to AICF with their Bio-data and achievements in coaching if any. The AICF shall pay Rs.10,000/- for GM's and RS.7,000/- or Rs 5000/- for others for a ten day coaching programme. For outstation coaches AICF will reimburse, on production of tickets, third A/c train fare and shall take care of the local hospitality. Those interested may kindly send your mail immediately.

Is Indian Chess Federation downgrading Coaches by offering meagre coaching fee of Rs.1000/- for Grand Master?
Mr. Srinivasn President of AICF and Srinivasn Treaserer of BCCI are same person I am told... Chennai has picked up Dhone for 6 crores .... and AICF president is offering Grand Master Rs.1000/- for a day..... This is how Top brass of Chess in India think of chess players......
Reply:It is absolutly right. If Grand Masters are paid Rs.1000/- for a day , parents will certainly hesitate to pay Rs.100/- for an hour to us.
Reply:It is sad picture of every association in India. One who runs the Federations Assocations themselves do not value their own people. Why did Indian Chess Federation has not tied up with any of these big mobile service providers till now....
Reply:Chess coaches will have very tuff time to convince parents about their coaching fee.

There are only 100 Rated players with rating above 2300 and only 16 GM and 60 odd IMs. AICF should have send a letter directly to them instead of issuing a general circular...

Housing in Calgary is not cheap. If you do not have a car and are going to be working downtown, I would recommend living downtown/inner city. The rent is more expensive but you can save time and money on transportation because you could walk to work. Expect to pay at least $1200 a month plus (lights, phone, cable, and internet) for a one bedroom. Heat and hot water are included. Landlord's can charge one months rent for a damage deposit and usually do. However, they can not charge you last month's rent up front. Fridge and stove are always included and sometimes a dishwasher. You can get all of your groceries and pharmacy needs downtown.

As far as salary, the government site http://www.alis.gov.ab.ca/occinfo/Conten...

states that according to the 2005 Alberta Wage and Salary Survey, Albertans in the Chefs occupational group working part-time or full-time earned from $12,300 to $109,900 a year. The average salary was $31,000 a year. Depending on your experience and qualifications you need to decide whether your pay is fair. $50000/year is enough to live comfortably.
Reply:with you working hours of 12 hours a day/5 days a week your hourly salary will only come up to 17/hr. you didn't mention what kind of job you will be doing for the restaurant. if you will be a server I would say that is half decent. You mentioned it is fine dining so I think higher than 20/hr should be the rate. As for the time you need to spend to go downtown, 1 hour is normal commuting time. Housing near downtown are very expensive so forget that option. A one bedroom apartment outside the downtown core is normally around the 700+ range. If you can find a bed space or room for rent, they normally charge 500+ plus utilities. Yes, most of them require a security deposit worth a month's rent. The fridge and stove are included. The net for 50,000 a year for 2 weeks will be around 1,400. The tips, I have no idea. The 7000 moving compensation is decent for a single person but not enough for a family. The moving cost alone if you hire a moving company is nearly 3000. You should also take into consideration that you have to fly to Alberta at least once before you move to check out the rentals.
Reply:that is a TON of money.. no need to be greedy..

Greed is what causes inflation.. when people demand higher wages the cost of things to up (eg the food prices at the restaurant) then fewer people will eat there.. or the people who do eat there will demand a raise and the stuff they make or sell will go up - so in the long run you loose by being greedy...

If you are not happy where you are.. then move.. the culture shock will be hard...

have your employer try to find you housing before you come...

yes fridge and stove are generally included in any rental apartment...
Reply:If you are the chef, ask for more. Living expenses are crazy. I live in Edmonton (3hr from Calgary) and things are cheaper here. You might be able to find a one bedroom for $700.00. I understand the transit system in Calgary is very good. As far as a biweekly pay, I would say about $1400.-1600. after deductions.

Almost all apartments come with fridge and stove, and yes, a security deposit is needed, and it costs sometimes the same as 1 months rent.

I honestly don't know what a chef makes. Perhaps look up some other jobs available in Calgary and compare, then you will have some ammunition if you want a higher wage.

Good Luck

Edmonton does have the better hockey team though
Reply:I'd ask for a 50% raise before you move there.

A swimmer is training for a competiition the length of the swimming pool is 50m the swimmer swims 2.5km?

how many lenghths is this?? a.5 b.20 c.50 or d.200

A swimmer is training for a competiition the length of the swimming pool is 50m the swimmer swims 2.5km?
2.5 km means 2500m

so it is 2500/50=50 lengths

Answer: c
Reply:C.50m
Reply:this sounds more like a math question. i'll get my #2 pencil and mark up the letter "C"

What is the training effect?

A. The tendency to suffer injuries as a result of too much exercise

B. Shortness of breath and dizziness caused by overexertion

C. An increase in the resting heart rate and a decrease in the stroke volume of the heart

D. A term that describes the many physiological changes resulting from participation in vigorous muscular fitness activities

What is the training effect?
i think the most accurate answer is D
Reply:I agree with you on point D.

Which method of training is best for muscle SIZE? anaerobic (under 10 sec), aerobic (over 30 min) or alactic?

for example: if i want to do pushups solely for muscle size, would it be better to

a) do as many push ups as i can for as long as i can all in a row

b) do as many pushups as i can in under 10 seconds, rest, and repeat

or c) some other way?

Which method of training is best for muscle SIZE? anaerobic (under 10 sec), aerobic (over 30 min) or alactic?
C) push ups are incredibly inefficent for muscle mass, they tone and cut your muscles but do little to build on them.

Low weight high reps builds deffinition and tone

high weight low reps builds bulk and single effort strength.

high reps being anything over 10 when you max. Which I'm hoping you qualify for in your pushups.

There's a reason why people use weights, it's much faster and better.
Reply:b is useless
Reply:bech press, squat, dead lift, and pull-ups are great for size not push-ups

Your net would be about $1250 to $1300 every 2 weeks.

Your tips should be an item you pay tax on, so you should clarify that point. 10k net is about 15K gross, so you are being offered 65K (with the tips portion not guaranteed) for a minimum of 3000 hrs. That is $21.66 per hour. I will let you judge the merits of that.

7K for moving expenses seems fair.

The apartment unfurnished will run between 800 and 1200 per month. You could do a little better if you were willing to travel a bit.

Security deposit is a full months rent up front, so you need 2 full months rent to get set up. Every place should have basic appliances, usually laundry is outside the suite, pay as you go.

Good luck...
