Is GM. A school hard? Or is it C school thats the hard one?
I want to be trained in small arms, can i choose that or do the get to choose what i will be trained in?
Is advancement for GM good?

A school is not that hard. There are several different C schools for GM and if you study and work hard you will pass. If you do not go straight to C school you will most likely work with small arms on the ship. From there you have several different options, talk to your Chief when you get to the ship.
