Yes.
The Amtrak Coast Starlight travels from L.A. to Seattle.
However, as a frequent train traveler on parts of this route, here is my recommendation:
Schedule the Coast Starlight from L.A. to Eugene, OR.
Then schedule the Amtrak Cascades from Eugene to Vancouver, BC. This is a commuter train that is more comfortable, and more likely to be on schedule. Some routes you are on a bus from Seattle to Vancouver, I think just one train a day goes all the way up to Vancouver, but the bus ride is about 2 hours and not bad.

Is it possible to travel by train from L.A. Calif. to Vancouver B.C. Canada?,ifso how?
good ol amtrak will take you - choo choo!
Reply:I did in 1980, but I don't know if you can now. Try Amtrak. I was traveling from Vancouver to Santa Barbara on a train that went all the way to San Diego. You could probably get to Seattle or even Bellingham and take a bus if it doesn't go cross-border any more.
Reply:CHECK AMTRAC
Reply:Amtrak has a train from L.A. to Seattle and then another train from Seattle to Vancouver. (at least they did for many years)
