How does it work taking a baby on a commuter train? Do I just carry him or keep him in a car seat or can I bring the stoller with us and keep him in there? Also would I have to pay for an extra ticket or is he so young it would be free?
Want to go sight see in D.C tomorrow with my 1month old and want to take the train?
Kids under 3 usually free, use a stroller %26amp; keep him in the area with you - ask conductor - they can direct you to bigger seating place for you %26amp; kids
Reply:in dc it might be too crowded for the stoller and carrying him you might get tired maybe if you find a really small stoller that wont get in the way and no i dont think you have to buy a ticket for him because when you put it throught the door goes up and just push him through. have fun!
Reply:Oh man, must you? He's awfully young to be exposed to that many people in such a close setting - his immune system isn't really primed enough to handle that, not to mention he'll probably be VERY overstimulated by the end of the trip. I know society has gotten into the habit of bouncing babies right out into the world as soon as they're born, but doctors really don't recommend it.
