I have been with my warranty company for three years now. I was promoted within a year and currently work in our Claims dept. It is not a lot of fun but I'm thankful for the opportunity it has given me and I really want to stay here with the comp for a long time. I spoke a few weeks back with our new COO about keeping me in mind should a new opportunity present itself (b/c I really do not want to be in Claims forever) and we got a mass email asking what types of training opportunities (microsoft office, on-site/off-site from work) we'd be interested in. I think I should speak up so they know I mean business but I have NO idea what to say. Any ideas on how to get ahead?!!
Training question?
I would check off everything that is related to the type of job you want - definitely MS Office, as you can use that everywhere. Being interested in being trained means being interested in being promoted.
