Marine Corps Training?

Do those in O.C.S. programs do the same basic training activities as those who are enlisted? If not, whats the difference?

Marine Corps Training?
The answer is not really..... O.C.S. trains the individual, and how to be a leader and for the most part is more mentally demanding. This is because if you cannot pass the PFT you can be dropped, and it depends on how much you want to be there. The training for enlisted Marines is more unit cohesive training and they have signed a contract and therefore will not be dropped. They are both tough. Sometimes O.C.S. training allows weekends off to see how responsible the cadets are acting. This is more of a test than a privallege. Some of the biggest and baddest Marines are enlisted. Many officers depend on these men and in return these men depend on the officer to make the right decisions under a stressful environment.

Edit----

Also a O.C.S. candidate can DOR (hence really having to want it)
Reply:Depends on the candidate. I knew 09S and 09W guys who were prior service USAF and had to complete BCT at Ft Jackson, SC before attending WOCS at Ft Rucker, AL. The 09S went on to Ft Benning I think but that was a while ago so don't quote me. An ROTC grad I think just goes on to his officer basic course after college since he has attended the basic and advanced ROTC camps previously. That is US Army pipeline, USMC candidates have to attend PLC or Platoon Leader Course at Quantico, VA I think. Never been but I would say it's like boot camp on steroids, it's longer and I would bet harder.
Reply:Pretty much....think Enlisted!
Reply:Only someone who went through both camps would be able to answer you..I never saw any OCS candidates when I was in boot camp. Im guessing the OCS training is a lot more demanding and they are held to higher standards. Semper Fi
