just curious what exactly it is, i'm assuming it's just a more specialized version of my A school training.
and what does A and C school stand for?
Ok, basic question, what is NAVY C school?
a school is specialized training so you can learn your rating. c school is even more specialized specialized training in your rating.
Reply:just a more specialized continuation of your A school.
For instance.. DH used to be an FC. His A school consisted of lots and lots of electronics training in general. but his C schools were weapons platform specific..WDS. Tomhahwak, etc.
it's Just A (used to have B schools waay waay wayyyy long time ago) and C s A school being first and C being after A.
NOT everyone gets a C school especially right after A school. some have to serve in the Fleet for a while before being sent on for more specialized training.
Reply:it is a more specialized version of A school training. ...for instance in the AC rate there is CATCC (carrier air traffic control center) which you attend prior to being stationed on board a ship and FACMAN-TERPS which has to do with facility management and terminal enroute procedures
Reply:C school is a school you go to for specialized training. For example: Say you enlist as a Sonar Tech. You will go to an "A" school to learn the basics of the rate. Afterwards you may be sent to a "C" school to learn how to repair a specific sonar system.
It is kind of like becoming a specialist doctor, A School would be like being trained to be a surgeon and "C" school would be like being trained as a Heart Surgeon.
