Facilities available in third A.C.when the traviling in the train?

It is not Third AC but 3 Tier A.C. because there is no third class in Indian Railways trains.





Indian Railways have 3 tier A.C. sleepers for overnight journeys in their trains.





Broadly, this 3 tier A.C. can be divided into two types of trains: Rajdhanis and non Rajdhanis.





On any Rajdhani 3 tier AC Sleeper class, besides coach being airconditioned, you get two washed and ironed sheets, one blanket, one pillow with cover and one hand towel on "use and return" basis. Besides you get "free" breakfast, two meals and evening tea depending upon your tenure of travel on the train. The charges for all these items are included in your ticket and you don't have to pay anything extra for them.





On non-Rajdhani 3 tier AC sleeper class, you "don't get any free" meals etc. rest sheets, blanket etc are provided as above. Coaches are airconditioned and railways provide breakfast/meals on payment basis (not already included in your fare ticket).





Quite a few trains have private catering these days. Even if the long distance trains don't have Pantry Car in the train, the meals etc are arranged from designated stations and served to the passengers.

Facilities available in third A.C.when the traviling in the train?
Except Berth, free Bedsheets and a Pillow there are no other facilities. But you will be comfortable due to AC, controlled noise (pollution), no harassment from hawkers etc.

Reply:Slightly broader berth when compared to Sleeper class and a bed roll consisting of 2 fresh washed and presssed bed sheets one woolen blanket, a pillow and napkin. At time the attendants mischiefs and does not provide napkin. But, the passenge is entitled.

Reply:More importantly than above all...bathrooms are clean (if nobody misuses them), and you also get no noise pollution.
